Setting
I think the author chose a really good setting. The settings could be a school or something else, but I think farm is the best one to show his idea most effectively. I really think the farm fits the theme. And using animals instead of people was a good choice, too. Allegory tells us an idea more effectively. And there was some humans in it. Mixture of human and animals was good, too.
The time setting was the Russian Revolution. The author satirized the people related to the Russian Revolution to farm animals. For example, the author used pigs as a dictators because the author thinks the dictators are like pigs, except the Old Major. And all characters in the book fit the humans in the real world.
